The bicycle team book or "Nickel and Dimed"? The later is a great read. I haven't read the former.

Added in edit: Many years ago I stopped in an airport book store to get something to read before a coast to coast flight. (When will I learn, the odds are really poor for finding anything I haven't read that is worth reading at an airport book store. It isn't always a total loss, though. I did pick up the Dave Egger's version of "Where the Wild Things Are" at an airport. Great book. Good thing that it was a short flight.) The woman behind the counter was reading "Nickel and Dimed". I had read it before and I asked her if it hit home and her facial expression said it all.

And things are much worse now.
