Have not been riding much with the weather and no hard or fast rides yet. I did a 50 mile group ride in the rain, but there were only 3 of us that showed. One guy was pretty slow, so it was much slower than I would have liked. It was raining and into a strong headwind on the way back, so we didn't want to leave him, espcially after 2 of us had flatted on the way out. The pace was brutally slowz, particularly since I wanted to push it with the new bike. I did a couple small efforts riding off the front on a few mild climbs and the frame is super stiff in the bottom bracket and front end. It does ride harsher than my old Tarmac and certainly rougher than my roubaix, but it's smoother than I had expected for such a stiff frame.
I did about 2.5 hours on my rollers yesterday (in a couple sessions) while watching some football. It was one of those few days of the year in central tx that I choose not ride due to weather. Cold is OK and so is rain, but not together. Sunday was pretty cold (40's) and raining hard at times. Bike rode great on the rollers!
I also picked up a Red crank on craigslist today on the cheap, so I will be swapping out the ultegra. Pure vanity, the ultegra/SRAM combo worked really well and I don't really care about the weight, but I thought it would be nice to have all SRAM vs. a mix. The new crank is a GXP, so I need to get an adapter for the BB30 (the frame only came with the adapters for shimano).
