No, don't know. Extras maybe. The white seemed to last longer. Now that I think of it, I think the black adjuster cover was the standard issue Universal. The gum ones came in the box of Universal hoods made by Vittoria. I have a new box here somewhere, I'll try and dig them out.

BTW, my Legnano is rocking a NOS set of stock Universal levers:

The original white Universal hoods had red lettering, and the gum had blue. The Vittorias have no color in the lettering.
