You will like the Synapse. I have a 2009 Synapse 5 aluminum (also black) and I really like it. I like it so much I swapped out ALL the parts to Ultegra 6700 and used my 105 parts and built my wife a Synapse using a new frame I got from Cannondale. It's just a well made aluminum frame that is worth upgrading if at some point you choose to do so IMO.
