It surprises me to read that about DiNotte. I've bought three lights from them, and my customer service experience was great. I traded in a first gen 5W light for the 200L, and bought a 140L taillight and a 600L headlight. When I bought the headlight, Rob threw in extra batteries, battery holders, and a charger for my AA lights AND price matched Nashbar's sale price on the light.
That being said, their product has always worked well for me, and I like that they're made in the USA by a small business. The 600L is as bright as I can ever imagine needing, as I have a dark rural commute and find the bright setting to be unnecessary.
And the taillight is very popular with motorists. I've been asked about it by several passing motorists.
