My nephew actually bought this very bike a few months ago to commute around campus. I had to true the wheels up a bit, adjust the brakes, and lube a few parts of the bike but it has actually held up pretty well for him. It is incredibly heavy...I'd say 35 pounds +....But for $100 dollars, it's fine for what he's using it for.
