Trailing spokes are only important for back wheels. It seems to me that if you don't want to read it from the back, you could just flip the wheel around and then you would be ok.

Are you losing sleep over this? I have to admit that it never crossed my mind on any of the wheels I have built. And you know what? - If I got it wrong, nobody called me on it.
