Before you spend a single unnecessary cent, assemble the bicycle, ensuring it is safe to rid and then ride it for a while. If you all proves true and working as it should, then consider your restoration.

Better to ensure that all is well before that new coat of clothes, in my opinion. The first bike I ever restored, for lack of a better word, taught me many things. You might benefit from all of my early mistakes with Big Green...
