I thought that might be the case about those shiny bikes!! Well, I'm glad I asked. My friend is going to check out the Peugeot for me later today, but I also came across a couple other possibilities and am thinking about making a switch.

1. This Puch is a lower end model, but it's supposed to be a good ride, and seems to have some good parts. I checked the catalog, and it's actually an '81. Plus it's already restored. I think I might go for this one instead. http://nashville.craigslist.org/bik/2675075494.html

2. Someone also let me know about an early 80s 19" Fuji Sagres Mixte, which would be a little bit lighter than the Puch, but it needs some work. Has Sugino triple crank, Araya 1"/8 rims, Valite 414 tubing. Needs tires, chain, TLC. He's asking $140. Seems a little steep for a project bike? See attachment.

Thoughts?
