How can you talk about chivalry in one breath and then agree with that obnoxious comment in the next?

I get that BFSSFG is a boyzone and I think I'm pretty forgiving of the bull**** around here, but sometimes I swear to god you guys are trying to drive away the few sqrls that do stick around.

Edited to add: OP, I'm 5'1" and have a 46cm bike with 700c wheels and a 43cm bike with 650c wheels. I have proportionally short legs, though. It really depends on your friend's proportions, which is why the advice to take her to an LBS and have them fit her is the only advice worth giving. I will warn you, though -- make sure you go to a good LBS that won't just stick her on a mixte/step through frame because it solves the stand over issue. That's what happened to me the first time I got a bike as an adult and it was absolutely the wrong bike for me.
