I gotta say, I'm pretty stinkin' disappointed there's not at least 2 ball bearings in the thing.
That said...the things seem to work really well for me for as little as I maintain them. I mean...I've never serviced this pedal and it's never failed me. I cleaned it, Phil Wood'ed the crap out of it, and put it back together. It spins like crazy now.
If they are working that well for you it doesn't sound like there is anything to be pretty stinkin' disappointed about...
