My 2 cents; pastoral advice if you don't mind, is to keep the '78 for now. Basically leave it as is other than cleaning and maintenance, while keeping an eye out for a 1960-'79 Paramount in the color that rocks your boat.

It might come as just a frameset (this is how I acquired my Flampoyant Red '71 P-13 and out from under the hesitating nose of the C&Ver in Post #42 just above!). At that time I transferred the parts from my too large '66.

Or you might come upon one that really deserves to be repainted. That fit the bill of the '66 I owned. But let me assure you, if you repaint the bike, you will never recover the cost of the paint job in a sale, unless possibly if the sale is decades in the future.

Be patient. The color Paramount you seek is out there, or at least the poor neglected canvas of one is waiting for you.
