The good news: Set Personal Record at 1:27 (Slow old farts of the world take notice!)
The bad news: I got absolutely shut down, dropped and left for dead by this guy.
He was on a 45 pound, single speed, Schwinn cruiser.
It was complete with balloon tires, fenders and tractor seat.
He mashed and mashed, up out of the saddle the whole time.
I was powerless to close the ever widening gap.
Humbling.
Wait till you meet the old lizard-skinned guy in gym shorts and flip-flops, riding up on his cruiser. Even had a cigarette dangling nonchalantly from his lips. He'll give you a run for your money, too.
