If you're aiming for a Nuovo Record build, the brake calipers have to be swapped too - those are Gran Sport.
I wouldn't consider pulling the hoods off the levers, because the levers may be Nuovo Gran Sport, not Record - in which case, you can be choosy about the levers you buy based on the hood color you wish (personally, I would stick with black Campagnolo World hoods if you intend to stick with the black cotton tape). Either way, swapping hoods usually results in the destruction of the previous pair.
I suggest you post a photo of the brake levers; that way I can ID them for you. If they're Nuovo Gran Sport, you can use that as an opportunity to replace the calipers and levers
along with the hoods.
EDIT: You already nabbed some hoods? Good catch - that allows you to buy a set of Nuovo Record levers regardless of whether they have hoods or not.

P.S.: If you're still hung up on those Campagnolo Lambada clinchers, I suggest that you peel the logos off of them and stick older Mavic decals on them. To begin with, the Mavic Modules look virtually identical to the Lambadas (and I'm partial to the hooked bead on the Lambadas over the Modules), and there's no sense in ruining a good wheelbuild.
