How serious could the injury caused by being doored be? I think unless you are riding in high speed it will mostly not be as serious as being hit or run over by a vehicle. So I have set my mind that if someone suddenly opens door in front of me while I'm riding, I'll never make a sudden move onto the path of coming traffic to avoid being doored. I'll make sure to check from the mirror if it's safe to do that before I move to the side. Always keep in mind that it's more dangerous on the other side, if a car is coming close. I think I'll be able to do so because I rarely ride very fast.
