Newbie Seeks Cycle Computer Help and Education

Howdy:

After years of mountain biking, I have just crossed over to road biking and could use some education on cycle computers (I never bothered with such things on my mtn bike).

I have a 2011 Trek Madone 5.2 which is "Duotrap ready" - which appears to be Bontrager's way of saying that the bike transmits data via ANT+ (yes?)

So am I correct in thinking that my bike is compatible with ANY cycle computer that works with the ANT+ system? Bontrager have their own (Node 1, Node 2) but I guess it also works with Garmin and others?

Secondly, will my bike talk to iPhone Apps? Or does my iPhone 4 need an ANT+ receiver?

It looks like Wahoo makes an ANT+ receiver for the iPhone. Will this work with *any* iPhone app (if so, can someone recommend the best ones), or will it just work with the Wahoo app?

Please help - I am confused!!

Thanks!
