Yup, these corporate policies are crap. A baldfaced lie to justify their unreasonable stance, just because they don't like bike riders.

But it's a corporate disease, they'll lie about anything to get their way. My manager is a big advocate of some ethereal 'policy' that says employees can only use ONE door of the store to enter/exit; he tried to explain it as a safety issue, saying that, in case of a fire, he can review security video to make sure everyone that CAME IN got back out. Uh-HUH....! I'm QUITE sure he's going to sit and watch video while the building melts around him. AND, our duties in case of fire are to clear customers from the store FIRST, then get out ourselves, by whatever exit is closest....

He needs an enema.
