We went shopping the night before I got payed too so…Christmas gifts are already bought, might end up taking them back. Not feeling like a great provider right now

We joke a bunch (well mainly me) but every now and then my soft emotional side comes out. Christmas is just a day like any other. If it is something you and your wife like to celebrate then do it when the finances are better. Take the stuff back and give yourselves the best gift of all, each other. Enjoy your day and make each other something thoughtful remember Christmas is not about gifts but rather love, friends and family and if they can't understand the situation then you shouldn't have bought them stuff to begin with.. I hope you have a Merry Gift Free Christmas
BTW my wife and I are to the point where we get each other something very small, the best gift I could ever get I got on April 30th, 2009 and that was the chance to have my wife for life as she did not get killed on her sportbike that day.
