Are there any other symptoms aside from the sound? When does it occur? When your tranny is engaged, or in neutral too? When your A/C is on/off/both? What's the year make and model of the vehicle? Have you noticed any trouble starting the vehicle in the mornings, especially when it may be dewy or damp outside? Did this come on suddenly or slowly?
