That's not the original mount, I made it myself. The part that the lamp is screwed to is a piece of the original mount and is only used to hold it to the handlebar extension. The original was way to bulky for me too and it wasn't very secure. I don't want to be able to remove this light so its not easily removable.

I'm going to have to look into the MagicShine mount but so far this has held up pretty well. I may ditch the original part altogether and mount the lamp directly to the handlebar extension.
