I couldn't be happier as it's an aluminum frame, very stiff yet still comfortable for those long training rides.

Even "The Shark" trains with a CAAD10: http://www.pelotonmagazine.com/Feedz...ooking-to-2012
Agreed, not much need to go lighter other than because "you can". But the cost to bennefit starts to outway what you get. My bike is right at 7.2 kg with cages, pedals and computer. And I am ablsolutely happy with it. I have done some five hour training rides on it and, other than being tired from the effort, I feel very good at the end, and couldn't imagine a carbin bike making much differed. Especially at the price point I spent to make my bike just the way I like it.
