I just got T-boned by another cyclist-in Sacramento! I was riding westbound through the alley, and a cyclist riding southbound on the sidewalk hit me on the right side as I emerged from the alley. Luckily he was very nice and there was no damage to his bike. He said "That could have been much worse for both of us". I agreed and said "I'm glad we weren't in cars", then we went our separate ways.

I'm just glad he wasn't hurt. I can't afford to pay anyone else's medical bills.

I always look both ways and ride slowly when emerging from alleyways, but I happened to be looking to my left when he hit me. I was in the center of the alley. Next time I'll slow down even more and look to the right first.
