My wife grew up in Eastern Europe & had no bike as a child but she has learned to ride on a new Schwinn Sierra. It's a comfort bike, as they are called. Now that she has learned to ride pretty well, I'd like to improve the bike by getting new tires. It currently has Innova 24 X 1.75 with a fairly heavy tread.
Will a narrower tire work on this rim? Would it make much difference in the ride/speed to get, say, Continental Tour Ride tires. Or am I barking up the wrong tree in trying to give her a better ride. Thanks. [Can't really afford another bike at this point].
