Pretty sure the current 7710 series is sealed. Not cartridge, but sealed? Carleton was saying something about it. Check his thread.

edit (from Carleton's thread):
"The 7700 is a needle bearing which is smoother, but requires maintenance. The 7710 (NJS) is sealed and is still very smooth and maintenance free. NJS because they race in rain which isn't recommended for the needle bearing. It would require cleaning and repacking after getting wet."
