Robbie, I agree about the 600 too, it is also Alex-proof.

If I'm buying a new headset, for any bike but a flip, it will be a sealed cartridge type.
My test sample is one as well, and I’ve had no issues with the one I had. But most of the bikes that I have worked on are for sale; and IMHO, you will not get your money back when trying to sell a bike with an expensive headset on it. The typical buyer just wouldn’t get the $100 increase in price because you’ve installed a headset that will last a lifetime. I agree with you though, if it’s a bike that you plan on riding for years to come, putting more money into the headset would be my option as well.
