I wish that overall frame picture was a little bigger. Those look like stamped dropouts. The Gitane Tour de France normally came with forged Simplex dropouts having an integral derailleur hanger. And are those cable tunnels or stops braxed onto the top tube? I also see a couple brazed-on bits on the down tube that I can't make out.

What's the serial number? Gitane had a distinctive format during the bicycle boom.
