I have experimented with mounting both to the left side of my helmet so half of my head is in view, which gives an interesting view to say the least, but it does give a good frame of reference. When I mount it on the from of my helmet (Using the triple joint arm) so that the camera is sort of in front of my face blocking a little of my upper view, I get a good video of where I am going and situational awareness but you loose most of the frame of refernce of the bike. I would question perhaps mounting it on the head tube of the bike for a decent view.
