Some people start worrying about resale value as soon as they acquire a new bike. Some people keep "special" bikes for the pride of ownership. Some people just ride 'em.

I pretty much fall into the third category but I do have some esthetic standards. I touch up minor nicks with clear nail polish. There's "perfect color match" and there's "not exactly". Perfect color match is difficult and sometimes impossible to achieve. Not exactly draws your attention and usually looks worse than the scratch.
