I've made the same "fashion decision" as you. No way would I try to talk you out of it! I hear "all the stories," but also hear that some put many-many miles on wheels with AL nipples with no problems. I don't have any ready evidence 'cuz I don't have enough miles or time on those wheels to tell.

Since you, like me, are building your own wheels... I say just do it! If there's a problem down the road, change 'em. I just followed normal "good" spoke and rim prep, and used eyeletted rims. I like red.
