In all honesty, I've always found both bands to be really corny, even when I was an 11 year old kid first getting into punk. To agree with omgzilla - who rudely answered before me - I would have to say the Ramones are a much more relevant band in the grand scheme of things. I've seen them live countless times and hung out with Joey and CJ on a few occasions. They've always been a great live band and seemed like down to earth dudes. That being said, I'd never even want to be in the same room as Johnny Rotten.

Regarding the SRAM Torpedo, I think it's a cool idea but the technology and mechanics of it aren't quite where they should be just yet.
