I wonder if your saddle is too wide or not level. My pockets do not contact the saddle at all when I ride, and I'm pretty short (I'm figuring it would be even less on a taller person). Also, that point is a natural stress point, so it may not be the saddle at all, but that the jeans are too tight for their tolerances.
