Slush/Salt/Ice in my tires?
Dear BF-
I have a question I've not yet been able to find information on. I just put on my studded tires and noticed (for the first time, actually) that the hole in the rim where the Schraeder valve comes through is just wide enough to let water in.
Is this something to be concerned about, especially now as I'll be riding through a lot of slush? Will road salt and ice water get into the wheel and corrode it from the inside? And, could it freeze there and cause damage or be dangerous?
So, is it possible, if necessary, to try and seal around the valve with something?
Thanks folks.
Cheers,
