I have been riding for about 15 yrs. and at 59 I'm finley making some small sence of sizing. most of my problems, come from reading how others fit bikes, when less than 1 out of 100 give any idia of how they are built. This guru type from a nutey place in cal. is probably the worst offender. I am 71 in. tall, and when I stand flat backed against a wall with finger tips in a corner and arms out stretched the other tips are 77 in. out. I have little doubt that some one else may be 71 in. tall and have a wing span of 63 in. If there is a point to this it is that I have to find a place for the 8 in (or 4x2) of extra arm lingth. my stems are 6-7 cm. below the seat, I can ride for hrs. without gloves or numbness in the hands. Bike fit is like knowing the lingth of a rop, if you know the formula 1/2 x 2 it is easy, every thing else is only a wild A guess.
