Things to do: swap inner tubes for supersonics. Get a Tune wassertrager, conical or uni. Get a lighter front brake (if i can justify the cost). Get various ww bits and bobs, bolts, seat post clamp etc.
Then I'll be under 6 kgs, which is my goal. Not exactly 13 pounds but hey. Two rules for me; build it as light as possible on a budget.
So far i have spent just over 1000 euros. I also wanted to do it using the stock fork, because almost all crabon superlight forks have a rake of 43 or 45 mm and the stock fork has 50 mm.
Spec list:
Wheels Novatec track rear and road front, bladed spokes brass nips, Kinlin XR-300, 32R 28F. Veloplugs.
Token superlight seatpost at 150 grms, will be lighter once cut.
Selle Italia SLR seat
Stronglight 49 D cranks with a TA cyclotourist 37T ring on a Sinz titanium BB, weight 600 grms total.
Exustar carbon Ti pedals at 190 grms
Syntace F99 stem ti bolts 105 mm at 99 grms
Syntace Stratos bullhorns, Fizik Microtec tape, Tektro cross lever.
I also have a Mack/Novatec/XR-200 wheelset which will shave off 250 grms, but it is too flexy for my weight.
I could slam the stem and cut the fork, but my body disagrees with ridiculous saddle to bar drop.
