Here's my Kona Lava Dome "Race Lite" in Orange which according to Bikepedia means it's a 1996 model. I got it from my sister who bought it new at a SF bike shoppe with some upgrades. It was her commuter before she decided she wanted to get really fat. This one's seat tube measures 18" c-t-t, I would dearly love to have same bike in the 20" size. This is the only MTB I've ever ridden that seems really light, and feels great on dirt roads and trails, but a little cramped (I'm 6'0" with freakishly long legs and spend most of my saddle time on a much bigger road bike). Anybody have one of these in 20", or something just as "Race Lite" as this? I never see these things on eBay. I started taking it apart today because the original (16 year old!) "Scratch" gumwall back tire finally gave out on the way back from the trail, grips are getting tatty, seat cover on the really terrible Expedia seat is peeling off, etc. Original paint on this one is 9/10.
