I've seen too many close calls in NYC so i know how you feel. I had a cab driving in the protected bike lane on first avenue and honk me because I was in his way. I was almost hit on Bowery two days ago by some young kid in a range rover who thought he was all that. When I yelled at him for passing me with an inch clearance and then pulling in front of me and stopping hard all of a sudden he gets scared and he says please don't hurt me.
