[QUOTE=RobbieTunes;13692602]Simple tool for that BB, and you can use it on cartridge Shimanos as well. I recommend get the "deeper" one from Park Tool.
+1 With the new 10-sp Veloce, same thing. I had to make a big hex head tool simply to tighten the R crank arms (3 nuts locked together on a bolt). I have no idea how I'll get the arms off if I need to remove the crankset. I sure don't want to buy one of those pullers.
Robbie, I think you're mistaken on the BB cup tool working for Shimano's. The Chorus/Record BBs of this era use a small diameter spline. Shimano's cartridge BBs use a bigger diameter spline, which is shared with ISIS cups. Are you possibly referring to the Mirage/Veloce/Centaur <=2006 BBs? Those are large external splined. And are you stating these will work with a Shimano external cup tool? If so, then you saved me from buying a Campy Veloce/Centaur cup remover!
Man, I was contemplating of buying a 10-spd UT Veloce crank for my 1st 10spd build, I think I'll pass after reading what they'll need to work on them!!
