This is my 1986 Trek 400. Reynolds 531 Frameset.

This was a great project and I learned a lot along the way. With the help of my local shop I chased and faced the BB, spread the rear dropouts from 126mm to 130mm and aligned the rear dropouts and deraileur hanger.

The bike has a full 105 5700 component group minus the brakes, which are long reach Tektros. Nitto Noodle handlebars and Nitto Technomic Deluxe stem. Kalloy Uno seatpost and Fizik Aliante saddle. The wheels were built by me (First Time!) and are Mavic Open Sports laced to a 105 5600 hub in the back and a twenty-year-old NOS Shimano XTR hub up front.

It's not the lightest, and it's not the fastest but it sure does ride nice and I'm pretty proud of it. Hope you like it!
