My riding buddy has a rack from MWE that swings away from the car with the bikes on the rack and that would work. You also might want to look at Chrysler's convertible they renamed it "200" instead of "Sebring" but that VW looks a lot like my wife's Sebring Convertible. We have the soft top but there is a hard top model. Wouldn't hurt to find a welding shop in Boca and ask if they could put an extension on your rack that would work. Those guys can be pretty creative
