I just ordered an elliptical last week for my wife and I plan on using it like you to stay in cycling shape. Glad to hear that you enjoy it because I have yet to use one and was wondering the same thing. My thinking is that anything you do that gets the HR up and the blood flowing has to be better than laying on the couch.
