I thought about selling them. But if I'm not going to make much then its not really worth it. I'm pretty good with my bike so I could fix it up. Although if I were to do that its extra time and money. With the trails just being built in the area tho I'm thinking more people might be looking at getting a new bike. So yes I would resell. If the retail is 250 and I fix it up and add new stuff and resell it and make some cash its still a good deal. I'm not going to try to rip people off I was just thinking of getting some exp.
One reason your idea won't work is because most people don't know anything about bicycle components or bicycle maintenance. All most people know about are bicycle brands. If they see the NEXT brand, or the Magna brand, they think_"CHEAP"!
Therefore, after you've replaced all the cheap components with quality components and invested all of your mechanical skills and time into the bicycle, you'd expect a decent profit. Meanwhile, the prospective buyer is thinking...."I've seen that NEXT bike at K mart sell for $70...I've seen that Magna bike on sale there for $60..."
There's no way they're going to pay you for the actual parts and work that you invest into that type of bike. They'll see you as a rip-off artist and just might call you that to your face, out of sheer ignorance!
I say, you're asking to be seriously disappointed if you take on this venture!
