Does anyone make a tool that will hold a bottom bracket tool in place so you can put a lot of torque on it without worrying about it slipping off the cup? I imagine a long bolt and a couple washers might work, but I'd just assume buy a proper tool if someone makes one.
The one I have is made by VAR (VAR-BP-99620-C-Shimano & ISIS Drive Bottom Bracket Tool). It attaches through the hole in a shimano or park type bottom bracket tool and screws into the end of the bottom bracket axle to hold the tool in place. It work very well and the plunger with the spring can be removed from the tool and used on other similar tools.
