On-street bike parking in NYC is laughable. Because, There is a lot of hostility towards cyclists' in NYC. Just look at the videos' on YouTube of the NYPD getting physical with CM cyclists.

Then there are the regular citizens. They won't go for losing a parking spot to a cyclist.
