I wanted to do this but short of buying a set of Campi track hubs the parts are hard to get. the threading is different so it isn't a matter of just getting a solid axle long enough to accept nuts but getting new cones that fit the new axle also.

you could always get a set of skewers that uses an allen wrench to tighten them rather than a traditional lever
