A week or two ago, I decided to do a full service and deep cleaning of my 1956 Hercules Royal Prince. Since the bike was in
very rough shape when I first got it, I did a quick cleanup and upon receiving a set of wheels that were kindly donated by RobbieTunes, I put the wheels on the bike, made some adjustments and
rode it a little bit.
For the latest round of work the tasks I performed were: replace and repacked all the bearings (
including the pedals),
replaced the headset, replaced the tires (the tubes were old, but had no patches and were holding air perfectly!), repainted the fenders, installed a NOS Birmingham chainguard and replaced the Wald fender stays with ones from Velo Orange.
I believe the results speak for themselves...
