Is this a good bike for my wife...

Looking to upgrade my wifes bike. The family (me, wife, 14 year old son, 10 year old son) rode 15 miles yesterday on a local trail. Everyone did well but my wife struggled quite a bit at the end. I think the biggest problem is her bike. It is a Solar beach cruiser fixed gear. It is big, weighs a ton, has a coaster brake, has huge tires, and no gears!

She has never had a good bike before. She likes the upright position of the beach cruiser so a normal road bike would NOT work for her. She has never even had a bike with gears before!

So here is what I am considering. It is a 2010 Felt Cafe 7. It is such a sexy bike with that pearl pink paint job... It is a leftover older model brand new bike at my local bike shop. I would be getting it for $260.

So to you bike mechanics out there... This looks like the perfect bike for her, and seems to me to be a VERY well built bike. I am sure she will love the 700c wheels and 7 gears to choose from.... Am I right in thinking this, or was there some recall I dont know about where the bike breaks in half if you hit a bump?
