Hey folks. My name is Pete and I live in Carrboro, NC. I have been road cycling for just over a year and was mountain biking before that for several years. I began road cycling when I lived in Gainesville, FL. I was turned onto it by a good friend who has been road cycling for a long time. He sold me his '95 Trek 2100 for $100. After I put a couple hundred into it I was on my way. I moved to the mountains of NC in May '04 and took a greater interest in cycling there. I did the Blood Sweat and Gears Century ride - my first century - in June '04. Now I live in Carrboro (hilly, but quite a change from the mountains) and I ride a Giant TCR Elite. I hope to start participating in more races next year (I have completed one). Hello to all!
