On the east side I believe there's a guy, Tony Z, or something like that. In Santa Monica there's Jorge at the Performance bike shop, he's one of those "will forget more about cycling than you will ever learn" kinda guys. We have books at Bikerowave and several people who are pretty good at it. I have only built 5 wheels, so I can sorta help
