i forgot the right log on to a remote server, and after three attempts, i can't log in anymore. No big deal, i thought. I'll just log off and log back in.

Next time i log in, i can't do anything on my computer and everything's locked. And after a restart, i can't even log in.

Apparently the failed login has somehow changed the registry value for the log in on my computer as well, and i was getting blocked as a result.

Thank goodness i was able to use safe mode to reset the registry values. Stupid windows 7. For a moment i thought i had a virus...
