I just traced my route out from this morning. The google thing said it was 20.2 miles and my bike computer said 22.03. I'd say it's a good estimator, especially since it only does straight lines. I'll try it again against my next route and try to only take straight roads...
Actually I forgot about a little detour I took. The google thing came out to around 21.5 miles or so versus the 22 miles on my bike computer, and I was kinda guessing where I turned around so it may be even closer.
